Shield of Smile

The digital painting Shield of a Smile looks at us and guesses what would be our response.
That's the art therapy. It always starts as the artist puts down his paintbrush. That is always a test. So I have to choose now. I can either smile to all passersby (to welcome the strangers as myself) or try to look wise and hide my story under the lock.
The truth I confess in my writings quite often spots the purity of colors that I had luck to sense. So you can either rejoice at my Shield of Smile  (at the artworks of art by Tomas) or read about my contradicting emotions below each picture.

mosquito on life aesthetics by Tomas Karkalas

At times it takes more time to name the picture than to take s shot. Look below. What do you see?

The tiny flying insects  painfully bite, yet the above looks like a giant...consequently, this image as if does not belong to the threatening group of our enemies, isn't it?
However, does that sense of personal safety create satisfaction or makes cloudy reality look more attractively?

The above picture was a closeup at the spider's catch, but not the dried dish caught my eye here, I recognized myself in my surroundings. Such outlook on nature drastically changed my experience - sat me back in an awe toward the multitude of the revived metaphors that knocked on the heart and opened my eyes much wider than any encyclopedia. So what does fine art reveal? Our reality, or the dreams?

Let's return to the picture. This is my self-portrait - the life aesthetics

The secret of the attraction of my archives

My digital archives remind me of my being not alone . This knowledge is necessary to deal  with the painful emotions wisely: the artworks enable me to face my disability with the smile and not to fall into the trap of self-pity but ride the sunbeam  with the gratitude for being alive. So the browsing through the archives becomes the art therapy that helps me to recover from the nips of surface beauty in order to awake to the mystery of inner world.
Art galleries reward their visitors with the magical wand (with the ability to grasp the omnipotence of the spiritual powers) That is the secret of the attraction of the pictures. The fine arts free us from a killing sense of personal needlessness and helps to discover joy in our responsibility for being alive here and now. These are the statements to ponder
