a shield against self pity

a shield against self pity by Tomas Karkalas

The picture reflected my passing, the farewell.
The peaceful farewell.
Therefore I questioned myself
Have I the right to smear the colorful  illusions of my digital paintings
by adding the information about myself, the hand that kept the paintbrush?

We may pass by the flowers without mentioning them but that doesn't mean the flowers didn't exist. The same apply to all the sick.
While talking with my windowsill I have grasped that people are used to note those
who shout loudly and ignore those who just patiently look through the window.
The artists retire and leave their crafts to others but life do not stop therefore.

The flowers are the shields against self pity.

The Cost

The scientists made clear that words and music affect the water

THE COST  (2012) photo created by Tomas Karkalas

How do we deal with that knowledge?
How does our blogging (the words we leave) affect us ourselves?

We follow the busy path from Cocoon to te Butterfly, so let be careful

weeping landscape

Add caption
The picture Weeping Landscape talks about my surrounding, yet the artwork reflects much more than just my personal being. The digital painting stresses the need of viewer's personification with the image for the discovery of light that has the magic power to illuminate the path he takes. The image looks like abstract painting just at first glimpse.

as curiosity peeps back

While painting, I followed the dream - just enjoyed the vision and everything looked OK .... Yet the curiosity peeped back, and the sorrowful musings blurbed the cheerful artwork - I inquired myself either need  my creativity though anybody? Why should somebody pay for my luck?  If I haven't money to frame my works, that is just my own problem, isn't it? People enjoy the colorful canvases, but not the life of the artists. I too wish to talk not about personal disasters but the light that comforts and leads us all. So why do I grieve for the pictures that are buried in my archives?
While painting I identified myself with the blow of the wind, while writing the description of this handicraft, I discovered what should be weeded out of my garden - it is easy to explain the selfishness, but not to justify such thoughts. That's why I love to blog. It helps me to look at myself without any prejudices.

scattered seeds

scattered  seeds - 2011 by Tomas Karkalas
You and I- we both are the seeds, my artworks too. They  are likewise scattered on a road.
Let's joke.
The warms should like the area that was  depicted by my digital painting... the fishermen too.
Yet what use such note to me?
I have not the rod and thus do not need any bait. I just am ... yours sincerely ...Butterfly in Plaster

my secret

I am going to tell you the biggest secret. Once upon a time, Butterfly in Plaster wished to be a dog. I even learned to bark. Now such magical transformations became my daily bread. It is enough to take a paintbrush for the wandering through the streets of fabulous town, where all the dreams come true, could occur via art by Tomas Karkalas from Lithuania

autumn bloom

Butterfly in Plaster presents old-men' talking as the autumn bloom

autumn bloom 2010 digital painting by Tomas Karkalas

I too know "the water is wet" yet eagerly look for a quote to prove that. The above looks silly, yet describes my activity well.
This confession interprets the picture the best and thus enables art lovers to enjoy the life that has nothing in common with sad stories of paintbrush holder but bloom in peace at a moment people respond to what they touch with love.

Peaceful Passing

Peaceful Passing by Tomas Karkalas

The picture reflected my passing, the farewell. The peaceful farewell.
Therefore I questioned myself  either have I the right to smear the colorful  illusions of my digital paintings by adding the information about the hand that kept the paintbrush?
We may pass by the flowers without mentioning them but that doesn't mean the flowers didn't exist. The same apply to all the sick. While talking with my windowsill I have grasped that people are used to note those who shout loudly and ignore those who just patiently look through the window. The artists retire and leave their crafts to others but life do not stop therefore so it's fine to look around. The foliage inspired. The flowers were the  wonderful shields against self pity. Let's smile.
